Hello! I want to start making prints, but looking around I'm not sure about sizes, are A4 or A3 better? I'm a digital artist and I found the A3 canvas size is too much for my pc, but I was finding A4 a tad too small and I'm not sure if people would like that.
Kiriska: I mean, it sounds like A4 is what you’re stuck with if A3 isn’t technically possible. If I said A3 is universally more popular (it isn’t), what would you do?
Not trying to be an asshole here, but everyone wants there to be universal truths with regard to “which is better,” but the answer will always always always be “it depends.”
Most artists have prints that are closer to A3 (closer to 11x17in). Most of my prints are A4 (ish, 8.5x11in). This is because it’s easier for me to make prints in this size, and it’s easier for me to test prints in this size. My personal preference is to make prints this size.
I get asked if my A3 prints are available smaller (they aren’t) as often as I’m asked if my A4 prints are available bigger (they aren’t). Nine times out of ten, despite asking for a different size, customers buy it at the existing size because that’s the only size I have available.
Do what works for you. If you really think A3 is better or prefer making things in those dimensions, I’m sure you’ll find a way around your technical limitations. Otherwise, if A4 is what you can do, I’m sure that will work out fine as well. Size matters a lot less than the art itself.
And the only way to find out “if people would like that” is to do the thing and find out. If they don’t like it, adjust from there, or find other people who will like it.
Nescafe is my daughter I swear to god don’t hurt her.
Picking a prom dress is the hardest thing ever urgh 😕👗👛
I think I'm just going to start automatically offering people a short/tall when they don't tell me what size drink they want. Holds up short cup: you wanted a short triple peppermint white mocha? Are you sure?
Most condoms come in 3 sizes: snug fit, regular, and large. A condom should fit snug over the penis when it’s erect (hard). Regular size condoms fit most people, but if the condom feels too tight or too loose, try a difference size. It is important to use the size condom that fits you best.
