J blinked, pushing his upper body away from her as he squinted down at the eager little brat crowding his personal space. Tilting his head, he said, “I get a feeling you’re trying to tell me something.” As if he didn’t know what. The killing they’d done, efficient as always, and judging by the glint in her eyes she was waiting for a very particular ending to this date.
Well, he said DATE. Business transaction on ‘bring your clingy girlfriend to work’ day was probably more fitting, but she never seemed to mind, so why shouldn’t he kill two birds with one stone? He was exceedingly skilled at that after all.
“Daddy’s a little busy,” he said apologetically, almost sounding sincere to his own ears. He grabbed her shoulders and squeezed tightly, the approximation of a warm smile on his lips as he leaned down to meet her face-to-face. “Why don’t you, er……. why don’t you go play a little while I take care of business? Hm?”
Harley pouted, she hated when he did this. Made her wait. Her patience was never her strongest attribute, especially when she wanted something. She didn’t want to act out, act like a child and demand that he give her what she deserved. Harley had thought she had done well and that would at least deserve a reward. She licked her lips and smiled back at him.
“Are ya givin’ me permission to start without ya? I promise I’ll make it worth ya time if Daddy comes with me now.” Harley teased, knowing if she said the right thing, she would eventually get what she wanted. She leaned back into him, pulling on his jacket and biting on her lower lip.
“Come on, daddy, I know ya wanna come play with me.”
