trying to tell my mom that the reason why the captions on a movie just said "[speaks korean]" is bc of anti-foreignism (not the correct term but i didnt know the correct one)

she just keeps going "i think its bc its an american movie"

how the fuck does that discount what im trying to fucking say. it couldve been made in turkmenistan for all i care, what matters is that theyre not translating the fucking korean because its not english, and thinking that something isnt worth captioning just bc its not english is literally anti-foreignism. but okay. whatever. americans cant imagine korean burger i fucking guess!
