Been thinking about Metro Tower, the place the Krang open their portal in the movie, and where it might be located.

Visually, the tower appears to be a mashup of mostly the Empire State building, with some elements of the One World Trade Center. Which makes sense, since the fictional Metro Tower is supposed to be the tallest building in New York and those two are the most well known and once upon a time tallest and the current tallest respectively.

Which is cool, but doesn't help me narrow down a location.

Theoretically I could just choose one of those two buildings addresses and call it a day. This is entirely for fanfic purposes so it doesn't really matter, right?

But then I discovered that if you type "Metro Tower New York" into Google maps an address pops up.

A building called the Metropolitan Tower, located at 146 West 57th Street.

It's not the tallest or most well-known building in New York, thought it does have a fancy wedge shape I find interesting.

But I've decided that's where Metro Tower is located anyway. Why? I think it's funny, that's why. Also it's sort of centrally located along the short end of Central Park and I like the symmetry that offers.
