One of the suckiest things ever, is when people continue to say your white after you tell them your mixed. I'm white and black on my moms side and native and Asian on my dads, and because I'm pale skinned and green eyed some of my friends are always telling me I only look white. It makes me feel like my other heritages don't matter, and that I'm constantly defined By my 1/4th of whiteness. I don't want to feel like because I look more white my other heritage doesn't matter. What should I do?....
Well, one, I want you to know that your other heritage does matter, no matter what anyone says because it’s your heritage for one thing, and it’s a part of your life, so no one can take that from you so easily if at all.
Two, what I feel like you should do is to tell those friends to stop calling you white, even if you’re a quarter, and that your other heritage is just as important and a part of who you are.
