For Those Still Hurting
Grief doesn’t leave.
It softens its voice,
but it never forgets your name.
Some days you’ll laugh again—
not because you’re healed,
but because your heart
remembered how to stretch.
You’ll feel them in small things—
the sunlight that hits just right,
a song that hums too familiar,
the silence before sleep.
Grief is love that has nowhere to go,
so it lives inside you,
changing shape until one day
it feels less like a wound
and more like a whisper that says,
“I’m still with you.”
Keep breathing.
Keep going.
They’d want that.
I am the reason.
I said what I said.
Sometimes I wonder what it feels like to live instead of just survive. To wake up and not already feel behind. To breathe without the pressure of yesterday. To exist without the constant fear of what might go wrong.
I don't want a perfect life. I just want a break from survival mode. A day where life feels calm, and I don't have to fight so hard to feel peace.
It always matters to one, when the other is done.
Suddenly I don't want anyone to know me as deeply anymore, which is weird because I have always yearned for someone to understand my soul
Depth, Im too much.
