Definitely 😏
True 😏
There is a silence that only your absence knows how to make.
The world still wakes up. The sun still climbs the sky. People laugh in grocery stores, traffic keeps moving, children keep growing... and somehow, my heart never got the memo that life was supposed to continue.
It feels like I'm standing in a crowded room, screaming with a smile on my face, hoping someone notices that I'm disappearing a little more each day.
Life is too short to spend it begging to be heard. Too short to wonder if your love is enough. Too short to lie beside someone and still feel alone.
I don't miss perfection. I miss feeling chosen. I miss feeling like my voice mattered before it became a complaint. I miss reaching for your hand without wondering if you'd pull away.
The emptiness isn't just missing you. It's mourning the future I imagined. The conversations we never had. The weekends that were supposed to belong to us. The version of me that believed love was a place I could finally rest.
Maybe that's the cruelest part— you can love someone with everything you have, and still feel like a stranger standing outside the home you helped build.
If this is goodbye, then let it be honest.
I loved you in ways that changed me. I wanted forever, not because forever is guaranteed, but because life is painfully short, and I couldn't imagine spending what little time we have feeling invisible.
I deserve a love that hears me before I have to raise my voice. A love that reaches back when I reach out. A love that makes loneliness disappear instead of teaching it how to survive beside me.
Until then, I'll carry this ache like a pocket full of stones— heavy, real, and proof that my heart was brave enough to love, even when it broke.
I thought loving you would teach me patience,
loyalty, and how not to run.
So I kept reshaping my heart
into someone you could keep—
only to realize I may have been
the side story that got too real,
never the future you could bring home.
Maybe loving you was my cruelest mistake:
you asked me to trust you,
then locked me out—
and now you’re describing my escape
as if it were your own.
And that's the cruelest part... You can still love someone with everything you have, while wondering if the future you saw together still has your name written in it.
There is no heavier silence than the one a mother carries after someone she loves makes her wonder whether her children will ever be fully welcomed.
I could survive heartbreak. I could survive disappointment. But I don't know how to teach my heart to rest beside someone who made me question whether the pieces of me I love most would always be seen as too much.
My children are not chapters I can skip. They are the story.
So tell me— how does a mother feel safe in the arms of someone who made her wonder if the little hands she holds would ever truly belong there too?
Some doubts don't break a heart all at once. They build a home inside it... and suddenly the place that once felt like shelter no longer feels safe.
To be loved should never feel like an apology.
There is a grief unlike any other in watching the person who holds your heart look at the people who are your heart and hesitate. To feel as though your children are not the light that guides you, but the weight someone wishes you didn't carry.
How lonely it is to stand beside the one you love while quietly wondering if they're ashamed of the life that made you who you are.
A mother's love is not baggage. It is sacrifice, sleepless nights, scraped knees, bedtime stories, and fierce devotion wrapped in imperfect hands.
So when the person you love makes you feel ashamed of your family, they don't just wound your heart—they cast a shadow over the very place where your love burns brightest.
And that is a heavy thing to sit with, because you begin mourning something that is still alive: the dream that someone would one day look at all of you and whisper, "I'm so lucky you're mine."
Single Mama
I'll never be the free-spirited girl in their stories.
I'll always be the woman whose hands are full—
small fingers intertwined with hers,
a heart divided only because it learned
how to love more than itself.
Some will see children
before they'll ever see me.
They'll mistake my motherhood
for baggage instead of bravery,
forgetting that the strongest women
are often the ones who kept loving
when life asked everything of them.
If that means I'll never fit
inside someone else's idea of freedom,
then let me be remembered
as the woman who became a home,
even when no one stayed long enough
to call her one.
May this house become a home filled with warmth, laughter, forgiveness, second chances, and new beginnings.
I welcome healing.
I welcome peace.
I welcome joy.
I welcome abundance.
I welcome love that is patient, honest, and freely given.
This home is no longer defined by what it has been through.
It is defined by what we choose to become.
Today is a new beginning.
And from this day forward, may our home be filled with light, love, and the quiet reminder that even after the darkest seasons, beautiful things can still grow.
Amen.
I spent 2 days on a poem for someone for them to be like ima mail you a check, and you stupid motherfuckers need to get a real job like everyone else... nothing in life is free, stop trying to take advantage of people.
Your environment reflects your circumstances, not your potential.
If you'd like to stalk me personally, id sell that.
The heart grows brutal from feeding on fantasies.
I'm not asking for perfection.
I'm asking to stop feeling like an option.
Every time I reach for you, it feels like I'm reaching for someone with one foot beside me and the other already halfway out the door.
Do you know how lonely that is?
To love someone with your whole heart while they love you with whatever time is left over.
I don't want love that feels borrowed.
I don't want to keep convincing someone to choose me.
I don't want to force a place in a life that should already have room for me.
The cruelest part is...
There are people in this world who pray for a love like mine.
A love that stays. A love that forgives. A love that waits. A love that keeps believing.
And here I am...
Begging someone to hold the very thing they already have.
