WIP Wednesday Sentences

From my November 19th post here; some of both of my WIPs for @tamsinswriting (and also a peek at what's been taking my writing time X'D), thank you!

Wheedlesome

And now there was Sho, the absolute centre of his world from the moment he had first met those bold, curious blue eyes. Now pouting at him, nudged close and too big for his lap but that had never stopped Sho anyway. And that pout was. . .

Stricken

Noritsune smiled slightly, weak and wavering, knees drawn up to his chest and arms tucked tight around them. Tomomori nudged up into his side and he took a shaky breath, biting his lip. Tomomori wrapped an arm around him and he let his legs slide down, turning into Tomomori instead.

Crochet:

Some amigurumi! (The potion bottles and bees are my own design. X3 The Tiny-Rexes are adapted from a pattern by Sweet Softies.)

Also a shijimi bag (often called a Japanese knot bag in English) for myself (I wanted one for money and such at the farmer's market) and perhaps the first of a number for sale (still in progress).

Kei sighed. It was not, but Kei already knew what Sho’s opinion of such reasons was. He wasn’t sure. . . ‟I want to know, Kei.” Sho said, squirming again but this time only to nudge closer. His rich voice lowered, a soft sound that . . . pulled at Kei. As though he needed any further encouragement to speak - to give in to Sho, practically anything he wanted. ‟Please?” Sho traced his fingertips along Kei’s jaw. ‟There was nothing of importance before you,” Kei said again, and Sho frowned, eyes narrowing, ‟but if you want it. . .”

Wheedlesome

It was only the truth, after all, and while Kei didn’t . . . particularly enjoy even remembering much of his life, Sho had always been an impressive, impossible shield against it. And certainly he no longer believed there was anything that would horrify Sho or make him turn away from Kei. Sho wound his arms around Kei’s shoulders in turn, and he nuzzled along Sho’s jaw to the elegant curve of his throat.

Knockout

There was a shift, a flicker of shadow, and San breathed, waiting. Their commander didn’t rise. Another shot blazed through the town - what was left of it - and threw him into glowing relief that San’s enhanced vision hadn’t needed.

Projects

‟Miss? I have the- Oh! Director!” Jung In glanced up in time to see the flustered girl in the doorway raise her hands, taking a step back - as though she might duck right out of the office again - then stopping, turning towards Mary. ‟Thank you, Hae Soo.” Mary said lightly, rising.

Wheedlesome

Sho’s expression brightened again immediately. ‟There is nothing of me I would not give you, if you want it.” Kei promised, smiling as Sho bit his lip, ducking his head slightly. ‟My history, any story there is in my life, is not beyond that.” he teased, hugging Sho close even as he relaxed.

Knockout

‟Commander!” San’s chest seized, like an electrical malfunction in his system, as their commander went down, obscured by a cloud of smoke and rubble. Move, move, move, get-

Projects

Reluctantly. Mary beamed at him, winding her working yarn around her fingers, then sliding the loops on the short needle from it to one of her regular ones. He watched as she knitted them back into line with the others, getting slowly caught up in it as he sometimes did when Mary worked, forgetting to go back to his desk, the contracts he had to review.

‟Kei. . .” Sho tugged at his shoulder, and Kei brushed his fingers over Sho’s wrist, but didn’t try to hold him, much less push him away. Then he pressed closer, sliding astride Kei’s lap, and he stilled entirely. ‟Please, Kei. Tell me.” Sho asked, all intense eyes and gentle hands. Warm. ‟The truth, really.”

Kei brushed his fingers over Sho’s cheek and he nestled into the touch, eyes half closing. That pout had been adorable very convincing when he was small enough to have actually fit in Kei’s lap, wide-eyed and tentative while somehow never being uncertain of Kei - even when he should have been - and then he had grown up, features and eyes both growing sharper, and his pout had only grown more common - and become something impossibly pretty and arresting. Sho smoothed one hand over the back of Kei’s own, holding it close to his face. ‟I’m. . . I can’t say I don’t like that.” Sho said with a fleeting smile, rubbing his cheek against Kei’s palm. ‟I like . . . being as important to you as- as you are to me.” Kei swallowed.
