Defending champion David Weir has beaten arch-rival Marcel Hug of Switzerland for the second year running to clinch a record eighth Virgin Money London Marathon men’s wheelchair title on Sunday.

Weir, the six-time Paralympic gold medallist, broke clear of Hug and American Daniel Romanchuk in the dying stages of the race before crossing the line in 1hr 31min 15sec.

Uggh The DMV

The Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is horrible. I haven't found a town, city or state yet where it wasn't painful to have to visit the DMV unless you are in wheelchair. The lines in a DMV location can easily turn into a several hour wait, even if you just need a question answered or document printed. Here's another beauty of having a wheelchair. Counters are almost always (98% of the time) over your head and way to high to be utilized by someone in a wheelchair. Simply roll in, disregard the unfortunate one's in line that are telling you that the line starts there (as they point several feet behind them) or that you need to take a number, right up to the first person behind the towering counter and whisper. Make sure you start your whisper out with the words "I need help" and the rest doesn't really matter. The person will often times respond by telling you they can't hear you. Start out whispering again by saying "I need help" and usually before you can even finish they will have called another DMV employee over to help you. Make your request and *presto* it's done. No line waiting or getting there early, just roll in like the rock star you are.
