Wheein calls you for the 10 over times today, she has been so needy the entire day, pouting whenever she sees something that reminds her of you. You were at work, while Wheein was off and that was never good. You knew she was going to be a puppy wanting its owner the entire day, knowing the owner was at work. You told her to go out, but she would just whine into the phone, saying how much she wanted you to snuggle with her instead.

“Wheein, you know i can’t just go home when i’m having meetings the whole day.” You groan into the phone, resting your elbows on the desk as you had your forehead against your palms. “I miss you, please?” Her voice needy, and you can just imagine how she looked in that moment, it just makes you want to go home to her and hug her, but you knew better. “Be good, and i will reward you when i’m home hm?” You tried talking terms with her, now checking the time to see that you had only 5 more minutes before the next meeting, knowing you need to end the call soon to sit into the hour long meeting.

“I-it’s hard, everything here reminds me of you!” She whines out, and you let out a small huff, before telling her you need to end the call with her just whining some more into the phone, the call cuts by you as your assistant comes running into your office. “Ms. Y/l/n, they would be here any minute.” You just nod her way, thanking her with a slight smile before walking to the meeting room.

It has been 30 over minutes through the meeting and your phone starts to buzz. You looked to the others, quickly ending the call, but seeing that it was your girlfriend that called, feeling a tinge at your heartstrings. Could it be that important? You two agreed that if it was an emergency that she would be able to call you during meetings, but this meeting was really important to you.

Your phone starts to buzz again, and your heart race. Within seconds, you excused yourself, walking out of the meeting room to pick up the call. “Wheein? You’re scaring me, are you okay?” The panic in your voice makes Wheein feel bad, she didn’t mean to call you during your meeting, but she was really needy today. “M-mommy..i’m so wet..wan- ahh…want you so bad.” She was moaning into the phone, her thighs at the sides of the pillow that she has been humping as she takes a whiff of your scent from the shirt in her hands that you wore today.

a/n: good lord, this was the 3rd smut I ever wrote, I think? I literally finished this in july of last year... as to what possessed me to hang on to it for this long I have absolutely no clue, but here y'all go 👐

Needless to say, you felt a bit dizzy. Wheein had never come on so strong before. “Where… is this coming from?” you struggled to vocalize, trying and failing to sound collected. She moved her head beside yours, positioning her lips right next to your ear.

“C’mon,” she whispered slyly. “Don’t pretend like I don’t have it in me to act like this.” Which was true, you had seen her range. Performance work always involved some element of acting, but you had always wondered how much of it was genuine. She clambered on top of you to straddle your waist between her thighs. The first snow

Wheein murmured distractedly, "I like having my own space," randomly remarking points about her personality while taking an MBTI test on her phone.

Her own space. This sentence attracts your attention because Wheein's never clingy, although she always makes herself close. Intimate enough to, even, share a blanket and sit cross-legged on the couch, facing you. The proximity of your faces doesn't cause her to retract, breaths warmingly mingling, as if it was so to fight off the cold of the winter. A silence falls as serene as the snow outside, the window behind you showing gray rooftops turning white.

"Hey," you called out after a while. "So, what's the new personality?"

"Huh?" Wheein looked confused. Her mind had been far away, eying the dotted landscape as a pointillism painting in process. Inattentively observing, she came closer, voice reverberating in your skin.

"MBTI," you said, tilting your head at the coffee table where she left the phone.

"It changed from I to E. The rest is the same," Wheein explained. "Crazy, ain't it?"

There was both casualty and fascination to her voice. Eventually, you lost track of Wheein's long personality record, a new one coming after the other, some repeating in between.

"Why do you keep retaking the test?" you asked, driven by curiosity. "Doesn't it defy its purpose."

The questioning doesn't annoy her as you supposed. Eyes still outside, her fingers entertained themselves with the blanket covering your legs. "Why'd think that?"

"After a few times, wouldn't you be picking different answers... Just because?" you wondered.

Wheein mischievously squinted her eyes at you, lips curling up in a faint smile. "To always be the same person can become quite boring."

Some things seemed certain to you, though — I and F were typical of Wheein's nature. (F)eelings would clog up in (i)ntroversion until they were too much, bluntly finding a way out of her.

"I like to think that I can be a different version of me every day. A better version," she emphasized, puppy eyes looking at the ceiling. "Or maybe, on days like today, I'd just rather pick what I aspire to be."

"More forward," she said, laughing dryly in irony. "I'd like to be more forward."

The reaffirming sentence lacked humor, unlike the first one. Wheein's gaze came down, lingering on your lips, contemplating how close they were, yet not acting on such fact. Her own space, so preserved, could translate into the gap she refused to come forward to close.

"But you're too comfortable with where you are," you affirmed after a brief moment of silence. If it was pride to be on the table, yours would be greater than hers, even if it meant swallowing down the lump desire created in your throat.

"I wish I was," Wheein retorted, tone suggestive of taking the commentary as a challenge, "but, uh. You're sort of blocking the view."

Behind your shoulder, out the window, the snow continued to fall. It was progressively taking away the few colors a big city could have.

"What kind of art could a scene like that represent?" she asked while you looked. Wheein's sweet voice came accompanied by her pinky enlacing yours.

"I have no idea," you said. "The artist is you."

"Anyone can do art. Don't be so grumpy."

Then just a pinky evolved to your hand being taken by hers. If your fingers became intertwined, it couldn't simply be an insistence for you to talk.

"It's like the scenery is turning into a white canvas. But I guess it'd be the opposite of doing art," you concluded, turning to see Wheein again. Her eyes were glowing with something unknown to you.

"Opposite... Much to the contrary. It's the first snow of the year."

Wheein slowly leaned forward and nuzzled into your embrace. Faces close together, rubbing with minimal movement, the softness of her skin against yours. Your mouth stopped right next to her ear, so when you asked, "What's special about the first one?" she couldn't hold out a soft sigh.

"It's a new season. New things, new beginnings," Wheein said, swallowing at the end, still affected. "If you think art, a white canvas as you said — that's the start of art. If you think us..."

She withdrew from the embrace, making room to look at you while her hands — fingers at the back of your neck, thumbs holding your jaw — maintained your face in place. Wheein blinked slowly like a cat showing affection, a dimple appearing with the smile that spread across her adorable features. So much cuteness had you lightly squeezing Wheein's waist, to which she warmly giggled, mouth right next to yours.

"Could it be a start for us too?" she sweetly asked but couldn't wait for an answer. Clogged up feelings were freed in a kiss, Wheein's sudden bluntness making it all so evident. Your teeth initially collided, tongues battling for dominance until finding a pace that suited both, slow and intense, exploring each other's mouth for the first time. You sucked on her lower lip upon releasing, grinning when that elicited a moan into the end of the kiss.

"I imagined this as less clumsy," Wheein whined while breathing heavily. "Sorry."

"Our start could count after a second one, if you prefer," you suggested, complying with her idealizations.

In the future, you'd obviously tease Wheein for it, leading her to shut your mouth with not just any kiss, but a perfect one. Right now, all your mind could think of was the entire season awaiting you, with the chance to build something to last for many of them.

The stage feels huge being the only person on it. There's clicks of cameras you can't see well and the band is quiet waiting for their cue. There's still a moment to forget, a moment to remain as things are. You want to enjoy these moments with Wheein, not live in fear of being discovered.

The mic is so close to your mouth, your bottom lip rubs on it when you speak. “When I was first thinking of what to do, I thought easy. A cover.”

There’s laughter from the audience. The planned joke relaxes you enough to stop hiding behind the mic stand.

“I’m a singer so of course I’ll sing. Concept wise it was easy enough. I even got to wear this-” You tug at the hem to make the dress flare outwards. The tassels at the hem shudder at the sudden movement. "But I think Director Jung is expecting it back."

More laughter. You make a slow rotation, trying to face the crowd that surrounds the stage.

“But then came time to think of a song. And it would not be difficult to do any of them. Not difficult, but not easy either.” There's a few cheers, maybe some hoped you were covering Wheein's solo. At the slight turn of your head the cheers cut off. You hoped you weren't squashing too many hopes. “Embodying lyrics is hard and to do that with someone else’s is--”

There’s another headshake. This is going on too long, just say it.

“But I’m singer so I’ll sing and I wanted to sing to you. For you.”

The lights dim, and you start before the band can play the first note. It's a mistake but not one the audience picks up on. Only the glow of their lightsticks are there for your voice to meet,

Wheein corners you in the waiting room. You expected a reprimand from someone but all you had gotten was a nod of acknowledgement from the director and knowing looks from your members because they already knew.

“Know we were going slow ‘cause there never seemed to be any time, but-” She lifts you up so you’re seated on the counter.

“Wheein, someone might,” You look at the door. She had already flicked the lock into place.

“They could try, “ Wheein takes your head in her hands and your lips meet. You cling to her, rumpling her clothes to pull her close.

You’ve kissed plenty of times after that date. But for her to need to kiss you was unexpected. Around the staff, you were colleagues. It wouldn’t be weird for you to smell a bit more like her with the concert preparations.

You jump when she touches the back of your neck, bringing you forward so that you’re pressed together. The hem of the dress falls down your thigh, her hand holding the bared skin.

Wheein doesn’t want to be sweet or take her time but she also doesn’t want to frighten you. There’s a schedule to keep but she needs you.

Wheein might joke around and be quick to laugh but she took this seriously. Adamant that there would be a good “time” after the concert buzz had died down to take a step that had already been taken, but we weren’t a thing yet, was always her reason. Plus there’s still time for you to change your mind, that’s why you’d pulled that stunt on stage. Saying you had someone in your life now. Wheein needed to know you weren’t going to reconsider.

“You meant everything you said?” She asks. You like her hands smoothing along your skin, you like how she applies just the smallest amount of pressure from her fingertips. You like how she moans into your mouth because you squeezed her breasts. Would have forgotten where you were, getting lost with each meet of your lips.

But then there’s a call for her name.

Wheein wishes for more time. You hear her name again, someone will come looking here soon. You were late. It was the first event of the Holiday season, and you had spent nearly two hours figuring out what to wear. In your defense, it was an extremely stressful process; especially when a certain someone was going to be there. Speak of the devil, you thought to yourself as you pulled in front of Eric’s house. Contrary to her normal stage look, Wheein was awkwardly waiting in front of Eric’s house, shuffling from side to side. With her giant puffer coat and scarf, she looked identical to Frosty the Snowman. After you shut the engine, you glanced back over at Wheein who was already smiling at you. The sight of her dimple made your insides all warm and fuzzy, and you couldn’t stop your eyes from crinkling back.

Rushing out of your car, you greeted her with a tight hug. “I told you that I was running late,” you whispered. “Why didn’t you go inside?” When you pulled away from the hug, you tugged the scarf further around her, hiding flushed cheeks.

“I wanted to wait for you,” she murmured. “I can’t go in by myself.”

You huffed in response. “They’re not monsters.” Not waiting for a reply, you grabbed at her giant sleeve and dragged her to the front door.

Before you could ring the bell, the front door swung open. Startled, Wheein took a small step closer to you, and in the small entrance, she was nearly on top of you. Your eyes widened at the sudden contact. Her fingertips brushed against yours, and as cheesy as it was, you could practically feel sparks. That or the static electricity zapped you.

“Wheein-ah, you must be freezing,” Ailee exclaimed, grabbing the younger girl and pulling her inside. “We watched you stand outside for like twenty minutes.”

“I told you we should’ve at least given her a hot pack,” Jamie reminded.

“Liar,” Matthew replied, chucking a piece of popcorn at her. “You said we should see how long it takes for her to turn into a popsicle.”

A glare was given in response, but Wheein gave a light chuckle. Eric took the bag of drinks from her hands and gestured for the two of you to make yourselves at home. The only available spot was the small loveseat sofa. It was tiny, but you knew that it wouldn’t be impossible for the two of you to fit if you really tried.

Wheein must’ve sensed your hesitation because she suddenly turned to you. “You wanna sit? I can sit on the floor.” The combination of her words and soft smile made your heart pound a little faster.

“We can do it,” you answered, ignoring your racing heart.

You let her sit first, letting her get comfortable while you cranked out a game plan. Wheein shoved herself into the left side and patted the spot next to her. Gingerly, you sat on the edge, not wanting to squish the girl. “Come here,” Wheein mumbled under her breath. Before you knew it, arms were wrapped around your waist. They yanked you to the left, pressed right up against Wheein.

“Much better.”

The whisper ran a chill down your spine, and you gulped. You turned towards the culprit who merely gave you her innocent dimpled smile. Get it together. Easier said than done.

“Wheein, we’re really glad you’re here,” Ailee said earnestly, smiling widely. “Thanks for coming.”

“Thank you for having me,” the younger singer replied shyly.

“Well someone wouldn’t shut up about you so-“

You flung a cushion at Amber, hoping that your flushed cheeks weren’t as noticeable as you thought. But it was, and a finger poked at your cheek. Before you could utter a sound, familiar laughter rang out. “I wonder who that could be,” Wheein whispered in between giggles. She leaned closer towards you, and her nose crinkled. The small gap between your faces made you instinctively glance down at her lips. Turning away, you cleared your throat and convinced yourself that her lingering gaze was all in your head.

“I left my wallet in my jacket,” you mumbled before jumping to your feet.

You made your way over to the closet, and it wasn’t until you rounded the corner that you realized someone was on your tail. Coming to a halt, the person slammed into you. The small “aigoo” that slipped out told you who it was, but you already knew it was her.

“I-“ Wheein’s words died in her throat, eyes looking everywhere but you.

“Mistletoe!”

The sudden shout made you jump, and Wheein’s eyes went wide. Glancing over her shoulder, you spotted a smirking Amber. She was the only one in the living room who could see the two of you and the green plant that dangled from the ceiling. Amber wiggled her eyebrows before pointing directly at it.

“It’s kissing time,” she sang, clearly enjoying the shade of red on your cheeks.

Ignoring her, you turned back to the girl in front of you. “We don’t have to, Amber’s just being stupid,” you said. But the look on Wheein’s face was hard to read. Her eyebrows were slightly furrowed, bottom lip caught between her teeth.

“Whee?”

Without a moment’s hesitation, Wheein surged forward and pressed a chaste kiss on your lips. It didn’t last more than a second, and her lips barely brushed against yours. When she pulled away, she hovered in front of you, eyes scanning your face. But you couldn’t say anything. Your brain was short-circuiting while your heart was running on overdrive.

“Merry Christmas,” she whispered before fully pulling back.

She gave you a small smile before walking back to the living room. You were too stunned to move, but you felt a small pang in your chest as you watched her sit on the ground at Ailee’s feet. The older girl leaned forward and wrapped her arms around Wheein, whispering something in her ear. Wheein giggled and nodded, leaning further into Ailee’s embrace.

What just happened.

“Please stop making me worried about you. I’m only like this because I love you.” with Wheein

Watching Wheein from afar across the room, you sighed as she looked away with a pout the moment her eyes met yours. Looking up at the clock, the timing way past your home-cooked dinner date with Wheein stared back at you. You had once again stayed late in the office to finish up the last bit of your project before jolting up when you realized the time. Sighing as you dropped your work bag next to the sofa and slowly slid onto the seat beside her, you watched as she turned her back more to you.

Reaching out to tug gently at her shirt to try get her attention, you heard a huff coming from the woman. Dejectedly, you lower your head and whispered out an apology before she finally turned to you with a frown.

Silently standing up and bringing the food over to the microwave to heat it up for the both of you, you took a moment to follow after, gently hugging her from behind and feel her tense muscles relax in your embrace. Setting the table, she grabbed your hand to let go of her before turning around to face you, and only then did you see the way she looked at you.

“I’m sorry, I know I shouldn’t turn my back to you and talk it out properly.” Squeezing your hand, she sighed and continued. “Please stop making me worried about you. I’m only like this because I love you.” Pulling her yet into another hug, you nodded silently. You knew that Wheein hated when you skipped meals fully knowing that you probably only had something light for lunch. You knew that the way she loved was through the way she cared for you, so you accepted it with another soft apology and a kiss to her forehead.
