The team at Competition Motorsport dreamed up the finish combination on this set of 20x8.5/21x11.5 Forgeline forged three piece FU3C wheels for a 2026 Porsche Targa 4s. A study in custom finishes, it started with a Graphite powder coat base on the center, layered with HTM (high-tech machining) on the outer surface, which was then hand-Brushed before being sealed in Transparent Smoke. The outers were Brushed and finished in Transparent Smoke to match. It was a complex process, but the result is subtle, dark, and constantly changing with the light. We #love #wheels but there is one thing that comes with wheels that we don’t love, keeping them clean. We all know that feeling of spending hours cleaning them, only to roll down the road getting them covered in brake dust & grime. Now make those wheels white & you pretty much have any #wheellovers worst nightmare. This #video shows the result after @glossangelesdtga used @beedcardetailing HD to ceramic coated these @adv1 wheels. Once applied it creates a very hard surface that is extremely hydrophobic which stops water & contaminates from sticking as easily. This means they stay cleaner for longer while being easier to clean plus it provides UV protection & scratch resistance. This is one of things that takes time but is worth it in the end. There is something #cool about seeing behind the scenes as to what goes into #wheel design. I think sometimes that amount of time that goes into the design, testing, engineering & development of a wheel can get lost of people, they just believe that #wheels are simply dreamed up one day & made the next.
