why does telling people to do their job and take responsibility for their own decisions, rather than dumping that work on me and shifting that responsibility onto me when it isn’t my job at all—feels like being a bitch

the threshold for weirdness is so low for most people. whenever i tell somebody i don't have netflix because i mostly watch movies from 60s/70s etc they go like 😳😳😳
sighhh i wish ppl would stop thinking i'm a girl when i'm not sighhh
i’m only gonna say this once: GRINGO IS NOT A RACIAL SLUR
It is not related to race AT ALL and it cannot be used in an oppressive way against anyone, black or white or whatever. At worst it’ll be used to make jokes, but I just saw someone on twitter claiming “gringa” is a slur used against black women and THAT IS JUST NOT TRUE. I’m tired of seeing americans take stuff from other cultures out of context and try to shove it in some american box as a “problematic” thing under the rules of american race and socioeconomic dynamics. Not everything is about you.
“gringo” is a word used by latin american people to describe people from other countries. in some countries it means speciafically unitedstatians (americans), in some the meaning is broader. in Brazil, for example, it means anyone from out of LATAM. wether they’re white or not doesn’t matter. it’s not supposed to be offensive either, it’s just how we talk, and i’d really appreciate it if americans could respect that and stop trying to force their own logic unto us.
