There's something strangely nostalgic in this summer air. First day of learning Pashto. Got stuck in a web app code and ground for 5+ hours for it to run. Also made cold brew roasted coffee for the first time.

Application season is taking out all the breath out of me. Here I am, waiting, hoping, manifesting for a brilliant Plan A Fall 2023, grateful for all I have, praying for all that could be - should be.
Day Lost-Count-Of of WTH-is-productivity:
Healing is strange phenomenon. Someday you are happy as a child, on some you're at thee deepest of your abyss, and other days you're merely a walking dead. You're doing just fine with hardly any knowledge of what you're feeling. Healing is strange, just like this city. This city with its noise and beautiful skies. This city with its heat and perchance an encounter with a welcoming cat. This city with its tired subways, pewter bus rides, the mornings peeping in like the old lady in your neighborhood, and its little caffeine breaks. This city that heals.

And at times not quite often, this strange foreign city offers a nook that reminds me of home. I cry of going home; I don't know where home is; whatever I believe is my home, I don't feel at home in there. Hence I seek them in the steeped caffeine, the afternoon sunsets, little shots of alcohol, and in solitude. Home is a lot like mother. You miss her even when you are with her. Where is my home? Where are you, mother?
Day 1/100 | 23. 01. 2022
I've been feeling a lot unproductive this last week. It took me 4 whole days to finish a 200 paged book. Research seems to get more and more drawled, and to make things more chaotic, the simulation software died at runtime. Overall, it's been a crazy week. I decided to calm down by making some chicken cheese balls. The weather is cloudy with no sign of the winter sun, syncing with my mood.
Let's say, the first day of productivity has been damn unproductive. Here's hope that my date in the afternoon takes care of my anger, hehe.
---------------- Back to campus:
Horrible coffee, little lost flowers and a family of frogs. The dogs seem friendlier than before and I'm proud to admit I look quite butch in this new hair cut. I fell a bit ill due to the heavy exhaustion from the journey but can't wait to get back to work, and offline college life.
Day 3/100 | 25.01.2022
A tad bit more organized than the last week. Made a flask of extra strong espresso, read and made notes on three more journal papers, and solved a set of questions on analog circuits. I feel better, motivated and driven. A saviour for the day was this pair of airpods I borrowed from my boyfriend the previous day, and even if the night's rolling, the scintillating AR Rahman at high volume feels quintessential to transistor circuits problems.
