Hi :) I'm an international student (or at least I want to be) and I wanted to go to college there in the US. But we do thing quite differently here so I'm a bit confused about dates. When (year and month) do you have to do the SAT and/or ACT? When do you get the results?
You can take the SAT / ACT at numerous points in the academic year. SAT testing dates take place often in Jan, March, May, June, October, November, and December (source). ACT takes place in Sept, Oct, Dec, Feb, April, and June (source).
You’ll have to register approximately a month before. I’d do it sooner if you know you’re going to take the test that day.
Results can vary between two weeks and two and a half weeks. Sometimes, longer. I remember receiving mine a few weeks later, and I’m not sure if it was because of the snowstorm in the northeast or whatever.
