Max is given an entire season length arc addressing her survivors guilt over her racist, abusive stepbrother. Dustin is allowed to have a two year arc mourning Eddie’s sacrifice. That’s two season-length arcs addressing grief towards side characters, but el —the shows central character btw — dies and the only person left mourning is her boyfriend .. be so fucking serious.

I literally don’t care that she died, I’m not just throwing a fit over the angst of it all but killing her off for some shitty full circle moment and then having every single person who supposedly loved her move on in the span of 18 months is wild. genuinely pacing so incredibly shitty it almost feels like character assassination the way these people let el DIE FOR THEM and then don’t outwardly care save for the last ten minutes .
