One time, I was in a rush because I was going to be late to the bus, so I got into the car, and my dad starts pulling out of the driveway when I realized that I was wearing two different boots. My dad was slowly driving away from the house and I told him about it and he asked me, "Well, what do you want to do?" I looked at him, looked at the time, and said, "Forget it, let's just go." Surprisingly, my dad said, "What do you mean 'forget about it'? Go get the right shoes!" He made a U-turn and turned back into the driveway. Bless my dad for thinking straight or I would've been walking uncomfortably around campus.
