in the telenovela i'm watching one of the antagonist is the brother of the female lead and he is an opportunistic asshole that craves power, he is morally grey and the story kinda wants you to feel sorry for him despite him being and awfull person who comits MANY misdeeds (killing some guy, blaming some other guy of said crime, swindling a woman for her money) yeah, he's an asshole yet he is soooo carismatic.
And he has a best friend who is always with him, kinda the "mastermind" of their plans, he's very sneaky and always wears bright colors, the asshole brother makes fun of him because of this.
and i'm not sure if they're really friends or they just use one another in their plans, likeeee, there was that time when they we're under trouble and the brother had to rat out the bestfriend for stealing money and the best friend was like "oh, hell noooo" and he rat out the brother's location to the woman they swindled (he went with her all "🥺 sowyyy" fuck you, boy!)
and they have this weird dynamic where the brother has the upper hand and the bestfriend has to obey all his menaces, despite being THE SAME. there's nothing that separates them but somehow the brother feels and acts like the superior one.
They have no one, but them...
