So like a year ago I saw a tweet that said if you're struggling maybe try and do something you used to enjoy doing when you were younger. I thought about this for months so after watching good omens I came back to Tumblr after not using it for 9 years and... it's fucking worked??

Obvs I still have things to work through but I am genuinely so grateful to have a place to get away from it all that I can access at any time of the day whenever I need. Somewhere to be stupid and silly and indulge in beautiful art and writing.

the age of consent nationally is 12 but that just means they can get it on with someone between 12 and 18. so two 16 yos having sex isn't illegal unless it wasn't consenual. that being said, a 20 yo and a 13 yo is super illegal just as a 20 yo and a 16 yo. there are some laws that say if someone over 18 is with someone under 18 but they were in a relationship when they were both minors, then its okay

that’s so interesting!! it’s a bit like where i live too; the age of consent here is 12 but if someone over 18 wants to have sex w someone between 12-18 then it’s not strictly illegal, just open to persecution (although, that basically means that after 12, everything is fair game which makes me hecka ~uncomfortable~ tbh)
