there is something to be said about the lack of older female superhero characters.

it's hard when your non-Christian friends ask questions trying to debunk Christianity or make assertions/assumptions/arguments about Christianity that aren't true and u try to reply and share the Truth but feel very unable to articulate responses.

#part of that rn is that it's 12:48 am (now 1:06 am) and I need to go to sleep #(I think I did okay with what I had left in the fuel tank for generating Thoughts. didn't feel too bad about what I said)#also part of it is that I've never. ever. been good at arguing. ever.#so when I try it feels kinda like I'm stepping in front of a train that is going to crush me #sometimes there are people who I can sense are just Naturally Good at arguing or they have developed it over time #and so usually I avoid arguing with them (and most people but especially them) if at all possible bc I know it will just end with me upset #and feeling useless and dumb.#which sucks.#I feel a bit ashamed I haven't done much to defend my faith before in general. yet I am thankful for the Holy Spirit guiding me tonight #completely unrelated but something that is calming me rn: there is now a soft blanket of snow outside on the ground.#awwyeah rambles #(in the tags)#this has been a post #christianity #tag thoughts

The thing that gets me about Normal is that although of course his perception that his best friends don't care about him is colored by his immense & apparently lifelong self-loathing, he's also genuinely very lonely. He's treated at best with indifference by Teen High students and teachers, his crush doesn't care for him, and even among his friends they all seem to have some kind of special dynamic except for him. He's no one's favorite. And I know that can hurt real bad
