Guys, we need more songs about yearning for God. And not just calm, putting-the-air-effect-on-the-piano, “oh Lord I can’t wait to be with you 😇” contemporary worship team songs with a few moments of intensity in there. I mean real emotion, guitars wailing and screaming out, drums thrashing and whacking the crash cymbal desperately like there’s no tomorrow there is just need for God, singer’s voice a little breathless or raspy by the time they’re done because they are not thinking about how they sound, they are just dedicating their voice to the Lord. I’m craving those kinds of songs rn and we need more of them!!!

Okay. Star Wars moots. I have a question for you, with some background first.

The only Star Wars media I have ever directly consumed is A New Hope, which I watched back sometime between the ages of 11 and 13 (and only have vague memories of). I have picked up a fair amount of SW lore by osmosis here on Tumblr, and a little from friends irl.

So. That being said.

Should I read Return of the Sith by Matt Stover?

#I couldn’t tell you what the Sith are #I…recall that there’s the Jedi who everyone makes a big fuss about #which is fair bc Jedi have lightsabers. (though maybe the Sith do too?)#and Jedi also have a moral code and can control (??) the Force #actually WAIT are the Sith the evil version of Jedi?!#Luke and Leia are siblings and Anakin & Padmé’s children #oh yeah Luke is a Jedi too. and he and Leia almost get together before they find out they’re related.#Obi Wan Kenobi was Anakin’s teacher and they had an epic battle when Anakin decided to go dark #‘somehow Palpatine returned’ (also Palpatine is evil)#there’s yoda and then there’s baby yoda who is actually grogu #and I thiiiink grogu is actually the mandalorian if I remember correctly #but that’s a whole other thing #we also have Han Solo who is with Leia #and (at least in A New Hope) there’s Chewbacca and R2D2 #jar jar binks is in here somewhere #Luke grew up basically a farm boy #I know the Anakin & Padmé meme format and ‘well of course I know him. it’s me’ and prolly other memes too #of course I also know ‘use the Force Luke!’ and quote it rather often for someone who hasn’t seen Star Wars. lol #oh and how could I forget. there’s Kylo Ren. I can’t remember if that’s the guy who is basically Anakin 2.0 or if that’s the girl #there’s also another guy involved in that part of the SW universe who everyone forgets about apparently #I’m pretty sure all of that covers a good 95% of what I know #Star Wars #awwyeah rambles #this has been a post #story time in the tags #(kinda sorta)

it's hard when your non-Christian friends ask questions trying to debunk Christianity or make assertions/assumptions/arguments about Christianity that aren't true and u try to reply and share the Truth but feel very unable to articulate responses.

#part of that rn is that it's 12:48 am (now 1:06 am) and I need to go to sleep #(I think I did okay with what I had left in the fuel tank for generating Thoughts. didn't feel too bad about what I said)#also part of it is that I've never. ever. been good at arguing. ever.#so when I try it feels kinda like I'm stepping in front of a train that is going to crush me #sometimes there are people who I can sense are just Naturally Good at arguing or they have developed it over time #and so usually I avoid arguing with them (and most people but especially them) if at all possible bc I know it will just end with me upset #and feeling useless and dumb.#which sucks.#I feel a bit ashamed I haven't done much to defend my faith before in general. yet I am thankful for the Holy Spirit guiding me tonight #completely unrelated but something that is calming me rn: there is now a soft blanket of snow outside on the ground.#awwyeah rambles #(in the tags)#this has been a post #christianity #tag thoughts

Gooooood morning people I have so much energy and I’m actually excited about life! :)

(GVF is going to be coming out with new music, I feel like my new PHM obsession/hyperfixation is reaching its peak, I’m going to be practicing music tonight, a couple other good irl things are happening…I will very likely come down from this high and feel like screaming about how overwhelmed I am pretty soon, but I felt like broadcasting to the world that I’m excited at the moment. Also the sun is out and birds are chirping and that’s wonderful ☀️💖)
