How much more empathetic would Khanin be if he could actually show empathy for Ramil whom he saw slapped in front of him by his father and who gave a speech about domestic violence for the audience? How much compassion could he show to someone he literally knows is being abused rather than increasing his isolation by turning away from him and to Ava and neither of them even mentioning what Ramil spoke about in his speech while complimenting each other?
Yes, Ramil won.
And then he had to go back to be alone with his abusive father.
And the only two people in the damn country with the same level of power as him don't care at all despite the show trying to tell us that they're the compassionate and empathetic ones and not him.
Ramil talked about isolation and then we saw it in action.
But I don't think the show meant it that way.
