A pet peeve

This could probably apply to any sales job but ugh I hate when people are like "but is this exhibition really worth me spending that much on the ticket?" Ugh I mean first of all what the fuck do you expect from me. This is my job and I'd be pretty shit at it if I was all 'nah its crap, what a waste of money, just walk away now.' I am essentially being paid to encourage you to spend your money here. Of course I'm going to tell you its the best thing ever even if I hate it (not that I've hated any exhibition we have had. I'm actually pretty easy to please and can find something to appreciate in almost any exhibition ). And even if I were to be honest, even if this wasn't my job, I don't know you. This is all personal opinion! What I love, you might hate and vice versa. I am madly obsessed with feathers and would empty my purse to see an exhibition that is just feathers, you might consider that a waste because ugh it's not real art or science, it's just bots of bird someone picked up, you could go to the park and look at real birds for free. Just make up your own damn mind. You cannot expect able unbiased or accurate to you opinion from staff/a stranger. Sure ask about the content so you can make a decision but don't ask me to make that decision for you.

Courier company call and leave a message on my phone, don’t say what branch they are from and the number they leave doesn’t work. That number is also not even slightly like the one for my local branch so I call the general 0800 number, only to be put through to my local branch who, surprise surprise, weren't the ones who called me and don’t know anything about it. So they are going to ask around and get back to me. Something the general call center could have done.

Why is it that after going to the effort of growing and replacing a full set of teeth, we decide to also have a couple of extras that refuse to be satisfied with just taking their places, no, they have to be the center of attention and have a drawn out painful entry into the world. And that’s if you’re lucky.  Actually, the man-thing was really lucky. His wisdom teeth just slipped into place without him even noticing.

Also wisdom teeth. Can I just not exist right now please?

My dressingown was old and getting holey (mainly due to being a favourite place of my rats) so while the weather was hot and I wasn’t using it I cut it up to use in rat hammocks etc. But now it’s cold and I don’t have a new one yet and it’s so much harder to get out of bed.

The man thing seems to find it odd or amusing that I give myself more time than I need in the morning to get ready for work or whatever I happen to be going to do. I like to not have to rush, I like to have the time to have my cuppa tea before I do anything else. I like to be able to take my time.  And then he goes and gives himself less time than he needs. Every morning. So every morning ends with him getting stressed out and frustrated about not having left for work earlier, about not having enough time to get ready or do things like the dinner dishes he was supposed to do last night. So I have to either put up with having the bench covered in dishes, or do them myself. Pair that with being tired because he was out until late at a hunts course, and we stayed up to have pudding when he got home... At least he isn't hungry as well!

I can't say anything cause he is grumpy already and it will certainly not help. And even if I say something tonight, it will be what he already knows; "you need to get up earlier..."

This essay is frustrating because they don't want me to interpret things, they want me to take other peoples interpretations and predictions and talk about them. They want me to say "this is the way things are going and its good" but I want to say "the more important things about this essay question are that and that other thing, the way some people think things are going to go is worth looking at, but less important because they are merely opinions, and I don't think that is the best way to go anyway."

Its hard to put ideas i dislike into my essay, let alone portray them positively.

The man-things mother went on a rampage through my house last week, even though she was only supposed to be here for 5 minutes. I have just found out that she took our butter out of the butter conditioner because it was apparently going "soft and nasty". Now it is too hard to spread on a sandwhich so i have to wait for it to soften before i can eat. Im starving!
