9. How do you deal with writer’s block?

I can't say I deal with it too well. I sort of just sit back and wait for my inspiration to come back, sometimes I need to actually try and write something to get it to come back though. I'm currently experiencing it with every character of mine except for The Amazon here!

11. If you could tell your character something right now what would it be?

Why are there five million different Gilgameshes?

You and an anon sent the exact same question I hope you know that— 

Get cozy, I tend to ramble. Pictures will be included as links! (sorry this took so long I’m easily distracted)

First of all,y`all probably know good `ol Gil here is a re-occuring character in the Final Fantasy series, more so than anybody! But unlike the Cids, who are completely different characters (as far as I’m aware), Gilgamesh is actually the same dude, aside from a few cases. So let’s start from the top! (there’s some spoilers in here, mostly just FF5 related so, beware!)

In the beginning Gilgamesh was the lackey of Exdeath, an evil tree—*cough* an evil powerful wizard who doesn’t know the meaning of a ‘raise’ is the main antagonist of FF5! You fight Gilgamesh multiple times, and one of them he thinks he found the sword Excaliber and tries to fight you but turns out it was actually a fake called Excalipoor. Because of the resulting poor performance, Exdeath was all “WOW YOU’RE A LOSER" and banished him to the rift. You meet him again in the Rift, fighting for his life, and you come across a monster called Necrophobe. Now, if you beat Necrophobe in time, Gilgamesh doesn’t need to sacrifice himself for your safety, but even if he does sacrifice himself, he’s deemed alive for some reason. I’ll probably make a headcanon out of it later.

Fast forward to the explanations in FF8 (implied) and Dissidia Duodecim (confirmed), Gilgamesh travels through portals in the rift to these different places.

Then we have the weird Gilgameshes that don’t seem to be directly related, and have different personalities.

Type-0 is very rough-spoken (Mr. Fuck Your Shit I Can Pull This Giant Ass Sword Out of My Chest Armor) Genbu L`cie, and the king of Genbu. (Additional I’m gonna beat your ass form that’s available optionally much later)

We’ve also got this thin ass weirdo in the sequel to Chocobo Tales that was never localized. He tries to marry a princess he kidnapped and is the main villain of the first chapter. As far as I know he’s not much like the main Gilgameshes. 

FFIX's Gilgamesh seems a little strange among the rest of them, and I'm not entirely sure whether or not to count him in the 'main line' as he is a treasure hunter (albeit not a very good one), has Enkidu running around looking for Excalibur II (probably to cover more ground or let him play card games with children like a lazy bastard and spelled Enkido rather than Enkidu). Although it alludes to ‘Enkido’ being his brother rather than a close friend. Though I figured maybe they just called each other brother out of closeness. Also Enkidu is sometimes spelled like Enkido/Enkidoh in some places. 

Don’t ask me about FFXI Gilgamesh his existence confuses me. 

And then up to date to today, here we have the upcoming FFXIV: A Realm Reborn, the specific look I’m waltzing around with right now (Gil seems to show off his fancy lots of loose cloth in this design especially). Who the fuck knows how in the heck he got the main antagonist’s Halberd I’m guessing it’s probably a replica/fake. I’m assuming he can hide away his arms like in previous incarnations as a sort of headcanon thing more than anything, so assume he runs around with two to four. We’ll know more about this one’s abilities and experiences when the 2.2 patch comes around though the latter won’t mean much since I’m technically playing him before he makes his way to that realm. 

*deep inhale* YEAH I’m pretty sure I didn’t miss anything except maybe Theatrhythm but that explains itself (and is super cute). SO I HOPE THAT WAS EDUCATIONAL AND YOU ENJOYED IT AND I’M SORRY FOR THE LENGTH.

To be drawn toward people is nothing out of the extraordinary, infatuated because of the concept they were supposed to held for a beast of sorts that claimed to love whoever crossed paths - enemy and friend alike. No one receiving a special treatment from her part despite her admiration and sincere worry, few capable in her life to commit a deed to be retained as a person who made a greater impact rather than the other way around was the meaningless action to pursue if they wished to capture a heart not supposed to be reached.

Loving another person is a strange concept, one that already has been thrown aside for the one who rejected her. Since she swore to love the world and not belong to anyone because of a failed attempt on conquering the heart she continues to long for-- but he was not here anymore. Was that the reason behind her urge to confess the same stupidity spilled 14 years ago to someone else?

Gamagoori Ira was already placed as an adversary in her mind, one man she was ready and eager to confront when the opportunity appeared. In that instant Medaka could have swore there was nothing grand but still felt ready to spill out words that only a man has heard before. No time to waste on wondering why, she already thought of him as important since the instant they met!

"Marry me." He won't be able to keep up with her, neither stand as her equal but the attempt is worth it. He is free to reject such blunt approach, it will not change what she currently feels.
