Well, if 2020 taught us anything, it’s that we could all use a little more whiskey in our lives.
So as we look ahead to whatever 2021 has in store, I’m stoked to share our first review of the year with y’all.
Unlike every bottle I’ve reviewed prior, this one showed up on my doorstep—not in the hands of a FedEx driver—but in the hands of Evan, the Tennessee Market Manager for Edrington Americas.
I bring that up first and foremost because it was a pleasure getting to spend some time with Evan and hear first hand about what makes this bourbon unique. And second, because if you’ve never heard of Edrington, you should know this is the same company that produces The Macallan (among others).
So when you’re about to review a bourbon finished with sherry oak staves, it’s good to know the folks behind it certainly know how to handle the sherry maturation process.
