So this happened while ago and I’m now informed on what Sam deems ‘essential’ on a general stint of hunting with Dean.

Not counting the give and take of clothes that come from ruined items during hunts, weather, etc, what he carries/wears on his person, and what might usually be found lying around the motel room/car/bathroom this is what Sam carries in his duffel bag (So basically the spare crap he packed for the trip):
