The rules of Musical May are simple:

1. Pick 10-31 works of music, depending on the level of difficulty you want for the challenge. No genre is off limits, and you may use however many genres you’d like for your playlist.

2. For every piece of music, make a piece of art based on it.

I decided to give myself an extra bit of challenge by doing all of my pieces as small acrylic paintings in my sketchbook and only using music without intelligible lyrics.

Here’s my playlist for the challenge!

And here we have the first major fail of the challenge! This one was supposed to be for Taylor Davis’ cover of Gerudo Valley from Ocarina of Time, but this ended up feeling more pensive and not nearly as epic as the music would suggest.

So I’ve swapped it with Whispering Wind from The Land Before Time.
