Blurb: “Ashton, we’re only halfway to the top and I’m exhausted!” you said, trying to catch your breath from trying to keep up with Ash on this hike. It wasn’t the first time you’d been hiking, but it had been awhile and Ashton was determined to get to the top. “Awww, Jordan, want me to carry you?” he chuckled, wiping a bit of sweat from his forehead. His blue bandana was soaked through, since it was about 90 degrees outside. “I think I’m okay, you’ll probably drop me! You’ve already fallen over twice today,” you laughed. “Hurry, we’ll make it before sunset!” he responded. About an hour later, you both finally reached the top. “It’s amazing!” you exclaimed, looking out into the valley as the sun is setting. “Just like you,” Ashton said, walking up behind you and putting his arms around your waist and giving you a quick peck on the cheek. You stayed that way for a couple minutes, taking in the beauty of what was in front of you. Suddenly, you realized that you’ll be hiking down in the dark. “Ash… how are we getting back down?” you asked. “Don’t worry babe, there’s a campsite right around the corner, and I made sure we have a tent set up. We’ll just hike down in the morning,” he replied, confident that you would enjoy that. He looked out at the view, then looked back down at you, whispering, “I love you.” “I love you, too,” you responded, pulling him towards the tent.
