Night elf pride. <3
I do not regret having left World of Warcraft behind when the problems with Activision Blizzard came up regarding their treatment of female employees, but I do sometimes miss the world and everything it gave me.
Especially night elves. Their lore, their areas, their characters, they all mean a world to me in a manner that is to this date reflected in my art, and even my personal feelings, thoughts and values.
I used to think it would be a dream come true to work for Blizzard. Once the truth of their company came to light, I was happy that dream never came true.
Still, every now and then I google the company and try to gauge whether or not something - anything - has changed. So far there has been too little and too late, but perhaps one day. Maybe one day I can log back in the game and not feel sad as a woman, as a gamer, as a female game developer, and as someone who spent a decade with this game. Just, not today.
