White Blacula - The Great All Knowing

One of the hottest groups in the local music scene right now are White Blacula - a supergroup consisting of members of Zombina & The Skeletones, El Toro, and a.P.A.t.T.

The style is a difficult to pin down, which is part of what makes it so great. It's an eclectic blend of punk rock, jazz and a kind of esoteric mysticism.

Their debut album, 'The Great All Knowing', was released this past week and the launch party, held at the 'Sound' venue, was truly something to behold.

Zombina & The Skeletones new side-project band is basically Zombina & The Skeletones only with Doc Horror doing more singing and has the second best band name in the world after Zombina and the Skeletones.

This could all be cool stuff. I found their last two Halloween EPs (which is all they've released in the last two years) a little bit stale. I am glad their solution to this was to shuffle band members around rather than start writing songs that weren't about zombies and mad science and ancient Egypt. I am excited!
