So people liking/reblogging posts from my GMX trips from years ago and it's unlocked some memories that I now see were kinda fucked up

So I shared a hotel with the same person both times, right.

First time, few days before I leave, too late to cancel and get money back I'm told

"I'm short on money so you're gonna have to cover all the food, but you like fat guys so you won't mind"

Didn't really have the option to say no unless I wanted to lose a lot more money than an extra person's food budget... But the audacity of telling me I wouldn't mind. The fuck??!!?

Year two, with even shorter notice I'm told by the same person

"I can't pay my half of the hotel because of (reason I forgot) I'll have the money in January though"

Well it was too late for me to say no and switch to a cheaper solo room so I sucked it up.

Anyway didn't get the money until March.

That was kinda fucked up.

But the thing that I found most "where the fuck do you get the audacity"

Was when my friends on the last night there bought me a delicious milkshake, I get back to the room and the first thing he says is

"can I have some?"

I say no because despite it being just a milkshake it was a gift from my friends. I go to wash my hands, all of a minute, and as I come out guess who's sucking down my milkshake as if I hadn't told him specifically no he couldn't have any. The fucking audacity.

So I've not posted much in a hot minute, and it's super unusual for me to make any personal posts here at all however here I am. Went through a moment... a whole menty b if you will, and came out of it accepting that I am trans as fuck. Anyway, the NHS trust I am under has a wait list of over a decade to even have an initial appointment, so I'm in the situation of having to somehow self-fund this... whilst being on carer's allowance (full time carer for my mother) So yeah, I've opened tarot reading slots on my ko-fi page https://ko-fi.com/khanerose limited slots are available as I'm only legally allowed to make a certain amount of money each week whilst being a carer.

The trouble with a lot of this, the “punch a nazi” website, is that much of its supposedly leftist user base can’t tell a nazi or nazi talking points apart from a rock. A lot of people will talk about supporting Jews and the Jewish community, but this website’s userbase has also effectively ghettoized most its Jewish users. You don’t hear them talking about how terrified they are about the uptick in antisemitism from all parts of the political spectrum because you’ve blocked them all. Any post on Judaism, no matter how innocuous, it could be a cute picture of a cat in front of a plate of hamantaschen, that does make it through ends up being flooded with antisemitic comments. Because you’ve effectively allowed much of this website to become a nazi bar.
