Enjoy the delicate flavors of matcha green tea ice cream surrounded by crunchy pistachio and white chocolate cones.
Ingredients: 2 cups heavy cream. 1 cup whole milk. 3/4 cup granulated sugar. 3 tablespoons matcha green tea powder. 4 large egg yolks. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. Pistachios, crushed for garnish. White chocolate, melted for cones.
Instructions: Heavy cream, milk, and matcha powder should all be mixed together in a saucepan. Stir the mixture all the time while heating it over medium-low heat until it's hot but not boiling. To make the egg yolks pale and thick, mix the sugar and egg yolks in a different bowl. Slowly pour the hot matcha mixture into the egg mixture while whisking all the time to mix. Put the mixture back in the saucepan. Cook it over medium heat while stirring it all the time until it gets thick enough to coat the back of a spoon. Now take it off the heat and mix in the vanilla extract. Allow the mixture to cool all the way down. After the mixture has cooled, put it in an ice cream maker and churn it according to the machine's directions until it becomes soft-serve. Get the ice cream out of the machine and put it in a container. Freeze it for at least 4 hours, or until it is firm. Get the cones ready while the ice cream freezes. Melt some white chocolate and then roll the cones in crushed pistachios. Let the chocolate cool down. Once the ice cream is firm, put it in the cones that have been prepared and serve right away. If you want, you can top it with more crushed pistachios.
