Hi!!!! I hope you’re doing well!! Have you been able to play LiS 2 yet? Is it good? I haven’t gotten the chance to check it out yet.

Are you KIDDING me I got this game the moment it came OUT and then I bought it for my friend because I loved it so much I just had to make her play it.

I really like it, I think it's good. So, I like it more than Life is Strange episode 1 but it's too early for me to tell if I like it more than the entire Life is Strange season 1.

It really has that Life is Strange feel of plotwists and things going from 0-100 in two seconds that left me thinking, "I can't believe they did that!"

I think the reason why I have high hopes for it is because I feel like the plot has higher stakes than it did in the first game? Like, the first game was about Max trying to find Rachel and find out what happened to Kate. But none of those things really affected her. I mean, sure, they did, but it was mostly her helping out her friends. There wasn't really a time-limit, as much as the game tried to convince you that there was, and Max could honestly just... walk away. There was nothing stopping her from walking away and her only drive was her need to help her friends. Aside from the Storm which almost felt like an afterthought at the end of episode 5, there weren't any life-or-death stakes. Rachel was already dead, what happened to Kate already had happened, and we're just trying to get justice for her.

In Life is Strange 2 I am literally anxious the whole time. The game is depressing, but not in the way you'd think. It's more about trying to find the happy moments in a cloud of darkness because even though you are playing around with your little brother and having fun, you never truly forget that you are now fugitives and you can't ever go back.

The main criticism that I've seen of the game (other than the people upset that there aren't any lesbians or many women) is that while Arcadia Bay was full of life and actually felt like a character in itself, the places in Life is Strange 2 feel empty and uninhabited. And to a certain extent, that's true. It's supposed to be that way, seeing that Sean and Daniel are trying to avoid people and being seen, but the game tries to make up for it with lots of moments between the brothers which kind of works for a while. I hope that more characters start to come in by episode 2 and beyond because, while it makes sense, the lack of permanent characters and locations might actually backfire on them.

So, in conclusion, YES check it out, and make your own opinions!

So since I asked about Nathan already, I feel obliged to ask: what kind of Warren headcanons do you have?

Okay, okay, round two here we go babyyyy

Honestly a good percent of my Warren headcanons are just... stuff that’s actually canon but here I am pointing it out to remind y’all, and another percent is just me trying to flesh out this two dimensional character:

- I think Warren is low-middle class. I really don’t have any proof for this, except his car. He is almost definitely in Blackwell on a scholarship (I can’t remember if it’s canon or not, but it seems incredibly likely). And I guess his general appearance, attire, and choice of a date points out that he doesn’t have a lot of excess income coming in.

- He’s trying too hard to be edgy. I don’t think he’s actually as hard-core as he likes to make others think he is—he’s sixteen after all, and what sixteen year old doesn’t want to seem more morbid than the next? I mean, laughing his ass off at Cannibal Holocaust. Really, Warren? I am ninety percent sure he just said that to “impress” Max and seem like he’s actually Fucked Up. If he had a tumblr his header description would be “Welcome to my Twisted Mind”.

- That being said I’m sure he likes horror and fake viscera and cult classics. And, you know what, maybe even “snuff films”. But him laughing at Cannibal Holocaust is fake as shit, the boy is an edge lord. 

- He totally, one hundred percent regrets almost every word that comes out his mouth when talking to Max. That whole dialogue with “So you’re sensitive” and him saying “That means they won’t have sex with you”. I can see his soul leaving his body as soon as he uttered those words. If he had a rewind power, this would be the moment where time would freeze and he would be forced to rewind otherwise you can’t continue the game. He gets really awkward and says a lot of embarrassing shit in front of his crush, later agonizes over it for weeks to come.

- Hero complex. The game is pretty obvious about this one, but I think it goes deeper than literally saving the world. He is deeply empathetic and if a friend is sad or has a problem he makes it his own personal responsibility to help. He bottles up his own feelings and throws them away in favor of solving others’ problems. If someone notices something is wrong with him he will deny it to spare them the burden of his problems. 

 - There is no universe in which he and Brooke are dating. Part of this is my own bias as I Do Not like Brooke, but c’mon. Even in the alternate timeline he got together with Stella. If you reject him in the game I think he just goes with Brooke as friends. Don’t talk to me about Brooke or you’ll drown in the salt.

- This isn’t a headcanon but I am so mad at Chloe for not letting Warren join the party to help them with Nathan and Rachel like he could have done SO MUCH he’s so useful and he’s done more than Chloe to help tbh. One of the reasons why I started writing fanfiction is because I was salty that he didn’t get to help. (If you’re gonna give us two romantic interests, Dont Nod at least give them importance ffs.)

- Back to the headcanons. I think a good number of the girls Max hangs out with have or have had a crush on Warren. Brooke is an obvious one, there’s a heart with Alyssa’s and Warren’s name carved on a desk, Stella dates him in the alternate timeline, even Kate mentions he’s cute. Warren is one hundred percent oblivious because when he gets a crush, he gets it hard. 

- Warren skipped a grade. I know they retconned this in BtS, but fuck it I’m sticking with LiS canon. He’s younger than everyone else in his class and gets teased for it. 

- If he played Overvvatch, his mains would be Reinhartt and Gengi. 

- He has a man-crush on Jean Claude Van Damme. If Warren ever finds out Nathan can do the splits like him then ohhhh boy. Oh boy. 

Aaaand that’s all I can think of right now, but there’s definitely more out there, I’ll add them if I can remember any, thanks!

Do you have a fun/interesting Nathan headcanons?

Oof! Dang, okay, the answer is yes. The thing is that anytime I come up with a Nathan headcanon I’m like “yeah that’ll go perfectly in my fic!” so most of these are canon in Exposure I just haven’t gotten to write them in yet. 

Also, most of my headcanons are… sad ones but for your sake, I’ll write the nice ones.

- Nathan was a huge crybaby as a child. Just constantly going into hysterics anytime something mildly inconvenience happened to him or to others. He has a lot of empathy for other people. His father raised him to believe that was a weakness and so he grew up to suppress his feelings and act coldly to others. 

- Nathan has always wanted to be a photographer, starting out with one of those disposable cameras from the 90s when he was a tot. There’s a photo album somewhere full of pictures with Nathan’s thumb in front of the lens and blurry imagery of his family. 

- The reason he was crying in the photograph that we find of him and his dad in Nathan’s room wasn’t that he was forced to wear a sailor suit (he had already cried for that in the morning) but because he wanted to take the picture himself, despite Sean explaining that Nathan couldn’t be in the picture if he was also taking it.

- Nathan’s family were close to each other in the beginning, and more closely resembled a normal family, albeit an incredibly rich one. It changed around the time when Nathan entered his teens. 

- Victoria got Nathan interested in fashion and popularity. Before meeting her he was a nasty boy that didn’t give a shit about how he looked and was an outcast among his peers. She latched onto him and he begrudgingly became her friend, eventually growing close enough to the point where they became inseparable. 

- The reason why Nathan is older than everyone (according to Max’s journal) is because he got held back a grade. Once he met Victoria, she pushed him to actually try in school.

- Nathan Prescott has an artistic scholarship in Blackwell (which is canon in the game, based on Kris’s email), even though he doesn’t need it. He is proud to say that he earned it with his portfolio and grades. 

- Nathan’s weight fluctuates often, being a chubby kid, to a lanky teen, back to being thicker when he met Victoria, then finally to the skinny teenager we know today. It has a lot to do with drugs and his medication, and some genetics.

- He has never touched a football or done a sport in his life. But he does like to dance, and dances really well. 

- Nathan knows a lot about nerd culture because Victoria is secretly one. Early in their friendship, she forced him to watch the entirety of Star Trek and a lot of Doctor Who and Powerangers. He doesn’t particularly like any of them, but he didn’t mind it either. He knows a little bit of Klingon (insults, mostly) because he and Victoria would use it to talk shit about other people in front of them. Warren can never know this otherwise he’d propose on the spot. 

- Nathan and Victoria go to art galleries and Broadway shows often, flying out of the state at a moments notice.

- Victoria thinks some of Nathan’s favorite places/hobbies are “lowbrow” so they don’t actually do everything together and one of the reasons why he fell for Rachel so quickly was because she would often join him.

- Nathan was high and heartbroken when he tried to steal the Tobanga.

Okay, I think that’s enough for now! There are probably more but I can’t remember any at the moment, and, like I said, most of them are sad because Nathan is a Tragic character. And I guess most of these are for exposure!Nathan which is more of my take of the original Life is Strange Nathan, so they’re just headcanons, not actual theories.

Can I just say that I like a lot of the details you have in Exposure? I was thinking about it the other day and I realized I really like the juxtaposition of the three times Warren has fallen asleep in front of Nathan and how it shows how their relationship has progressed from Nathan forcing him awake to letting Warren snooze on his shoulder. I live for details like that ❤️ they’re just so well done

Imagine if Nathan got contacts instead of glasses so he could actually see for once and of course he loses one Like would he try to cover up the fact that he doesn't need any sort of correction for his vision and try to search for his lost contact discreetly?

and then when he doesnt find him nathan would just.. wear an eyepatch over the eye and when everyone is all “whoa what happened to you??” he tells a different story every time and if they ask to see it he just says that its really gruesome and starts describing the wound in an uncomfortable amount of detail, and its always really exagerrated and gory?? like he’ll talk about it being full of pus and maggots and shit and everyone just gets so grossed out by it and he loves it, he loves grossing people out and he loves the attention

Ok I have to admit that I'm really close to reading Exposure for the fourth time because I just love it so much (I know I'm such a nerd) and I've been listening to Real by Years and Years and it kind of fits the last few chapters I feel like? The last few chapters you have of Exposure are just so good, cliffhangers and all. ❤️❤️❤️
