Return | Emmett and Scott
Six months ago, Jean had died and Scott had left Xavier's school.
For a long time, he'd been sure that he wouldn't return. He'd left because everything and everybody in the school had reminded him of Jean, and that wasn't about to change any time soon. He had been with her for years, and in a rush of water and thundering noise and the agony of a breaking psychic link, she had been gone. Just like that.
Scott hadn't stayed in any one place. He had gone from town to town, drifting aimlessly, until he began to realize that he couldn't stay away from the school for too long. He felt guilty for abandoning them, Charles and his team and his students, not to mention the cause. So it was a rather ragged looking Scott that returned to the school six months later, in need of a shave and a haircut, far from his usual meticulous presentation.
One of the first things he was told was that there was a new teacher--Emmett Frost, a telepath near to or on par with Charles' ability. Though Scott supressed a groan at the knowledge that there was another incredibly powerful telepathic ability, the first thing he did was go to Emmett's office. He was a little over-protective of the school, and if there was a new teacher? He had to check him out.
Scott knocked politely on the office door. "Mr. Frost? Do you have a minute?"
