White people, the issue is with us. We need to DO BETTER.
I feel so disgusted, outraged, angry, and heartbroken over the violence against the black community and people of color that continues to take the lives of people without consequence or change. We have allowed the demon of systematic oppression and racism to normalize this behavior - these crimes against humanity, crimes against human decency and morality - and this normalization continues to weave itself inextricably into the makeup of our culture, our attitudes, our reactions, and our language. This has to change. White people need to make this change happen. Be loud about it. Silence and inaction is not an option.
