My paranoia with handling white yarn (or anything white, really..) 😅 But! I finally got hold of some cheap gloves and now I am happy to work with white yarn 😂 One Winter White Junimo, coming up!

Picot Fan Blanket - Complete

The blanket is finally complete!!!   The upper picture is the full blanket folded into quarters.  I did a simple picot edging where round 1 was nothing but single crochet and round 2 was single crochet with a picot every 3 stitches. The blanket measures approximately 48″ x 48.5″

Final image is the full size blanket with the Kazu Kitty happily adding a touch of fur to the project curiously staring at me like I’m a fool while I was standing on a step stool with my phone hovering overhead in an attempt to take a decent picture.

While crocheting this, I planned to give it to my grandma for Christmas this year, after a good wash, I’ll package it up and set it aside.  After all, there’s another 5 months to go.

White yarn? Gloves on. Need to feel the hook? Snip the tip for the thumb 😂

Unfortunately my winter White junimo came out smaller than I like. Possibly because I can’t feel the yarn tension and I end up pulling tighter 🙄 I also crochet slower with the gloves on 😣 Sigh…

Picot Fan Blanket

Here’s the first main update.  I’ve completely used one full skein of Red Heart Super Saver Yarn.  Each Fan is ~3.5″ x 2″ in size.  The blanket is 13 fans across.  Overall, it’s sitting at ~52″ x 29″, so, I guess, one more skein and the blanket will be nearly complete.  I’ll add some form of trim afterwards, likely something simple, maybe with small ruffles.  Suggestions are welcome.

The black kitty is Kazu.  He demanded attention quite often while I was crocheting, so, unintentionally, his fur has been incorporated into the project.  Not much can be done when you have a black cat taking over one of your legs or your entire lap.  He likes my flats.
