Me viene hablando últimamente Jordi Jiménez (La Gracia, Coraje, Los Claveles, etc..) del canadiense Whitney K como una interesante propuesta actual. Picoteando aquí y allá en sus discos (tres LPs de estudio y dos en directo, tres EPs y un single) mucho hay de Lou Reed and the Velvets, en ocasiones tal vez demasiado, a lo que hay que sumar un importante peso de la música country y folk. Tal vez lo mejor sea comenzar por su EP de 5 temas de 2022 "Hard To Be a God" que contiene cosas magníficas en riguroso crescendo como "Song for a Friend", que es como si fuera su particular cruce de "Street Hassle" y las "semanas astrales", con una pizca del "Willin´" de Little Feat en el recitado inicial.
