If all you do is fight for your own life, then your life is worth nothing.
Two years ago, as part of Womens History Month, I celebrated the women of Star Wars and corresponding women in history. But at the time, I hadn’t yet watched Rebels so I hadn’t met Hera Syndulla, and didn’t include her. The following Summer I caught up with the series, and almost instantly fell in love with Hera. She’s become one of my most favourite characters in the whole saga. I love her passion, her commitment, her determination. I love every relationship she has, with Kanan, Ezra, Sabine, Cham, Thrawn, and most especially Chopper. So here is a belated addition to the collection, and to Rebels Remembered, because Hera deserves to be both celebrated and remembered.
