Could you maybe write some cute, fluffy destiel with insecure!cas and dean just being reassuring/loving/all that fun stuff? =) thank youuuuu!
(taking prompts tonight!)
Castiel shifts uncomfortably, arms crossed loosely over his stomach. He feels so exposed without the coat, bare and vulnerable in cotton.
"You look fine," Dean insists, tugging on Castiel’s t-shirt. Cas makes a noncommittal sound, staring at himself in the dressing room mirror.
"I don’t understand why I need different clothing," he says sourly. Dean rolls his eyes.
"You can’t wear a trench coat in the middle of summer, Cas," he replies patiently, shoving a different t-shirt into Castiel’s hands. "Try that one."
Castiel pouts and pulls the offending shirt over his head, taking a moment to look at himself in the mirror. Shirtless, with the boxer briefs Dean had bought him hugging his hips, he looked so weak. Unprotected.
He can’t even keep the frustration off his face, because Dean is winding his arms around Castiel’s hips, thumbs pressing just below his navel as he rests his chin on Cas’ shoulder. “You okay?”
Castiel sighs and leans back against Dean, letting himself feel wrapped up and safe. He used to have so much power; he could snap and change the world.
And now, Dean, this human- all he had to do was smile, kiss Castiel’s shoulder- and the world was different.
"I am," he says honestly. He will be.
