Where does my help comes from?
“And all Judah rejoiced over the oath, for they had sworn with all their heart and had sought him with their whole desire, and he was found by them, and the Lord gave them rest all around.” 2 Chronicles 15:15
We find true rest in the presence of our God. It is indeed true that when afflictions and life problems entered us, most of us became anxious and are bothered all the time. We normally go to consult on someone more knowledgeable or more experienced in the struggle we are facing. That is exactly what happened on the last days of King Asa, in his last battles both in war and in sickness, he chose to consult with people rather than God. He started his life declaring and teaching the people to seek God at all times but he then ate his words on his most crucial phase.
Let us assess ourselves every time life challenges us with many kind of afflictions. Who do we turn to for help? Who do we seek for answer? Can we declare today to seek God first because in Him comes not only the help we need, or the answer we seek, but as well the rest and peace our heart longs for. That even in the most crucial moments of our struggle, we can rest on the presence of God and our heart remains at peace that everything will fall into place.
