we’re super excited to share so much about our amazing lore with you guys, but among the things we’re most excited about is our ambitious play at a national setting. 

that’s right. 

rather than be situated firmly in one area, we’re setting up shop in many. how far does the location reach? 

think all four major american regions!

• northeast • south • west • midwest

america is our setting and the location is wherever you choose for your character to reside. each region has their own subplot action going on, and to sweeten the plot, general areas of which species are known to reside. we’re not just multi-city we’re multi-region! 

our ask box is always open and our discords are always available for any questions you have to ask. we’re here to make the transition within these plots easy to navigate and as always, we’re here for you!

rolling staff search

wild at heart wants you! we’re conducting a rolling staff search until every staff position is filled! we want at least two (more) admin and two moderators to round out our full and vibrant staff. admins will be responsible for helping to keep up with the day to day tasks, come up with fresh and exciting site ideas and as well as conducting/helping with activity checks. we categorize ourselves as totally character driven but with major storylines + subplots that’ll define how characters respond to it. so if you’re ace at thinking outside the box or super into world-building and like coming up with plot ideas, we’d love to have you on board! remember that we’re horror themed so the darker the better. we’ve got an experienced coder and graphics creator but if you contain these skills too, that’s a definite plus! if you don’t have the time to admin but still want to help out, try consider becoming a mod! mods will be responsible for keeping the site tidy (updating claims) and other light duties like advertising. you’d still be an integral part of the wild community so we’ll keep you abreast of major site updates and you might have to serve as tiebreaker from time to time. we’re big on inclusion so welcome to our family!

interwoven into the fabric of some of our favorites in classic literature are fairy tales that are descendants from legends passed down from generation to generation. each time the story is passed a little bit of the truth is concealed. obviously, a neatly wrapped happy ending from a brave spirit enduring various trials and tribulations on her way home well beat out the true story about a girl who lost her way, and both metaphorically and literally became the monster her parents warned her about. most legends might skip certain details, but the true beast of the story still resonates the same proving yet again what happens when their true nature is revealed. nature always wins out in the end. the whole world's wild at heart and weird on top and that the truth is a whole lot scarier than fiction.

wild at heart is a supernatural creature site with horror themes. our lore is extensive and our subplots are important. our story is evolving and what that means for you is that how your character reacts to it is what will largely drive this story. right now our main subplot involves a militia type government determined to keep the scary truth about the existence of the supernatural element top secret at all costs. what the country (and the world) don't know can't hurt them, right?
