depends on how far their relationship has progressed ahah hmmm, i'll work with... if it's been a few weeks and she's done what lots of us have been gunning for, which is helping him to recover, i think he'd be inclined to stay, especially if he has nothing lined up.

and the chemistry! the chemistry! how can you walk away from that?!

another thing that i suppose has been floating around my head is that, depending on how happy heather is in new york, and with her clientele, if he got a new job elsewhere he might ask her to come with him?

let me set the scene: he's got some nice posting in london or brussels or paris or shanghai, he sees she's feeling disillusioned with new york or the backlash from her association with fisk has been causing her issues etc, so he asks her to come with him to get away from it all.

he has a new job, she gets a fresh start... they both have enough money to be able to do it. even if he goes back to a more nomadic lifestyle...

i mean there are influencers with less means that make living globally work, don't see why they couldn't...

not that i don't think buck could find a way to stay in new york (financially) to stay with her because i can absolutely see it and in my head he would do find a way if nowhere but new york was an option, but i suppose there are multiple forks in the road depending on where they both are relationship and job wise and the idea of heather as a video-call therapist and buck taking high-pay easy protection jobs while they gallivant in glamorous cities around the world is a fun one to consider.

ofc we know they would have to come back eventually so that heather could muse-out...

but who knows what happens in the intervening time? it's a year, right? replacement mayoral elections (from my research please do correct me) in the case of resignation or removal are completed within 80 days (hence my fics not really going over that point tbh as i haven't decided what to do with him) so buck would need some kind of resolution by then... leaving us still with a lot of time to account for before we get to season 3... *shrugs*
