There are varying degrees of cold when the outside temperature hovers at 10 degrees F or colder. . . There’s the 10 degree day when you stick your head outside and say, “hell no!” Those days you do your bare bones chores and pretend you’re a bear for the rest of the day. . . . There’s the 10 degree day when you have sunshine, and no wind and say, “good Lord it’s gorgeous, let’s saddle a horse!” You make fresh tracks in the snow while wearing no layers because it’s not cold. . . . And then there’s a 10 degree day when you suck it up and do stuff anyways, because it’s not cold enough to force you into “pretend” hibernation, but it’s not warm enough to enjoy doing anything you really love to do, but you do stuff anyway, because it is relatively bearable. . . .
