Boom was an awesome episode and we haven’t had those in a long time on Doctor Who so I’m glad he got to
candela obscura spoilers without spoilers
althoooooough I thought Matt Smith had already confirmed he'd be back next year?? I recall. that. and that article is distinctly lacking ACTUAL SOURCES, there's no mention of an interview or anything. On the OTHER hand, David Tennant's website professes to be releasing huge Doctor Who news!!!! at midnight so maybe it's all tying in. somehow. it's a conspiracy
there are a lot of posts around about the eighth Doctor today. it is good. because he is the best Doctor. if you travelled into every universe in the multiverse and studied all the variations of Doctor their versions of the show 'Doctor Who' have produced, this universe's version of the eighth Doctor would be the best one overall. I know this because I did this research myself, personally.
What if time lord society really exists in this universe but they're a lot less flamboyant and their disguise technology is really really advanced now?
What if their TARDISes are designed to be able to survive for extended periods of time on their own, absorbing and responding to external data as best it can? What if, in theory, when one gets lost or cut off from its owner, it could do that for decades before going into standby mode, blending into its surroundings socially as well as physically?
WHAT IF YOU ARE A TARDIS?
