Relationship with Parents: Briar loves her mum’s - Daphne and Venus. She gets on so well with them and finds it easy to speak to them about anything that she has on her mind. Her parents are loving and always encouraging Briar to follow her own instincts and to find her own footing in life. She finds that when people first meet her mums it’s a shock to their system because with the name Greengrass, most expect the snobby, posh, bland persona that was previously described but that’s not the case. Daphne is a photographer/artist and Venus is a computer software/video game developer

What does the character consider their worst physical characteristic? While she likes her legs, Briar isn’t a big fan of her height because she’s so tall compared to most of the others her age. Plus being so tall and having bright red hair is like having a big arrow pointing to her. 

How does the character think others perceive them: She doesn’t know but she hopes it’s in a good light

What would the character most like to change about themselves: She’d like to be more assertive sometimes.

GOALS/CONFLICT

Most Painful Experience or an Experience that has shaped who your character is today: By having two mums, Briar never saw anything wrong with that. However there were some people in the world that didn’t like the fact that Daphne and Venus were together - even more so when they had Briar-Rose. She witnessed a lot of homophobic things directed towards her parents growing up and that was a shock to the system that not everyone is kind and open minded. Briar needed that shock, but it’s always been a hard thing to hear/see for her. 

Characters Goals. What do they want? What is their biggest dream? Briar wants to be comfortable in her decisions and to make use of her skills and talents where they would be valuable

Characters Motivation. Why do they want the goal above? For who or what? She wants to prove herself and make her mums proud

Relationship with Parents: Flynn gets one really well with his parents. He needed a lot of support and encouragement as a kid because of his anxiety and being shy and his parents were with him every step of the way. If Flynn felt like he couldn’t/didn’t want to talk, his parents would help him figure out methods of coping and overcoming that. The nickname Flit came from the hummingbird in Pocahontas that Flynn really loved as a kid because it was tiny and never spoke - like him. Still to this day, his parents have always been there for him and continue to encourage him in everything. They support him as a Hufflepuff, as a bisexual, as someone that struggles with anxiety and a stutter and Flynn thinks that he really did hit the jackpot with his mum and dad.

Most Painful Experience or an Experience that has shaped who your character is today: Flynn used to get teased by the other kids when he was about 5/6 because of his stutter. That hurt him a lot and -even at that young age- he felt like he shouldn’t speak if he couldn’t speak properly. Now he’s always hyperaware of this when he does speak up

MOST PAINFUL EXPERIENCE OR AN EXPERIENCE THAT HAS SHAPED WHO YOUR CHARACTER IS TODAY: An experience that shaped her was discovering how strong her elemental magic was. When Lola’s emotions are pushed to the brink, they become too strong and in turn that can make her magic lash out in a reckless & dangerous manner. This was discovered at a young age when she was devastated over the loss of her pet cat and her distress caused a small earthquake in her town. To this day the town still don’t know or understand how an earthquake managed to hit them. 

CHARACTERS GOALS. WHAT DO THEY WANT? WHAT IS THEIR BIGGEST DREAM? To travel and see the world for everything it is and to control her elemental magic

CHARACTERS MOTIVATION. WHY DO THEY WANT THE GOAL ABOVE? FOR WHO OR WHAT? Lola loves travelling she wants to do it all the time. As for controlling her magic, she wants to to this to avoid anyone ever getting hurt around her if her magic decides to lash out.

Professor Cromwell has noticed Lola is gifted in elemental magic and is pushing her to the limit. This is taking its toll on her health/body/mental state. Relationship with Parents: Nikky thinks his Mom is the funniest person in the world. His Dad has been in and out of his life, and Nikky is a bit bitter because of that. His parents separated for a while, and didn’t get back together for another 9 years.

Relationship with siblings: He’s the middle child and has two sisters. His younger sister and him fight quite a lot, but of course, there is still love there. He considers his older sister to be his best friend. 

Relationship with extended family: The only thing he doesn’t like about his extended family is all the drama. He just feels like rumors fly too fast but people act fake in front of one anothers faces. 

How are they in a romantic relationship?: His romantic partner would almost be like an extension of himself. He values harmony, conversation and commitment because he didn’t really see much of that. 

How are they as a friend?: Loyal. He might seem detached and cold but one wouldn’t be able to say that Nikky wasn’t there when he was asked for help. He doesn’t have many friends, and that’s because he believes who he considers his friends are a direct reflection of him, and he doesn’t care to have people around he considers bad influences or might make him look bad.

What do they look for in a lover?: Nikky tends to be drawn to people opposite from him. Someone more outwardly compassionate, funny. He tends to also drift to people that remind him of his Mom or sisters: caring, selfless, people-persons.

What do they look for in a friend?: Honesty. As long as someone is honest, and he doesn’t find them annoying, he’s chill with them.

Occupation/Goal Occupation: Nikky is someone who has very scientific view points and still believes that there is truth to future telling and prophecies from what he has seen come to pass several times. He thinks the truth to it should be taken advantage of. He studies Ministry because he wants to one day work as ministers Advisor. He studies Arithmancy because he wants to look numbers and how they effect what happens. He looks at numbers from past events, the stars and their alignment in the past, etc, and see what exactly was predicted or could have been predicted, and is applying that to how to safely make decisions in the future. 

Religion: Nikky is a spiritual person, but in his own way. He does not have a religion.

How he/she feels about himself/herself: Nikky feels like he is an activist. He feels like there is always something he can do for someone else.

Description of how the character would describe self: Nikky would probably describe himself first using his ethnic background, because he feels that’s important. He’d say that he’s a hard worker with good intentions.

What does the character consider their worst personality trait?: He’s aware that he comes off as rude, but he also feels like he can’t help it

How does the character think others perceive them: He would like to believe people find him to be good company, but he also thinks people think he’s very lonely and to himself.

What would the character most like to change about themselves: He’d want to have more empathy for people. 

Goals/Conflict

Most Painful Experience or an Experience that has shaped who your character is today: The experience that really started to shape Nikky was learning more about his Great-Grandfather, Gellert Grindelwald. A man with significant power and all that he chose to do with it. Nikky was really able to hone down on the importance of being a powerful being, the importance of knowledge and the importance of self-defense, but most important of all of it: what you choose to do with it. Sounds cliche, but it really has made Nikky all that he is. Despite everything that he is or seems to be he has a philanthropic spirit because of this.

Characters Goals. What do they want? What is their biggest dream?: He is really looking forward to meeting and getting to know more of his family, though he does have fears because he doesn’t know what they will expect of him. He hopes that people in the Ministry that have often forelooked what was right in front of him will take him and his ideas seriously. 

Characters Motivation. Why do they want the goal above? For who or what?: It’s for himself. Lucky for him, he wasn’t heavily pressured by his parents to do anything specific or be anything specific, just to be good. But he wants to succeed for himself, so that at the end of the day he can say to himself, ‘I did it.’

Characters Conflict. What is keeping them from their goals?: The only conflicts that he faces directly in terms of his goal is people that seem to be put off by divination and its practices, but he hopes to show that it can be just scientific as other things. He is not a seer, he’s just someone that can’t doubt that there has been truth to past predictions, and they can help. His focus is on arithmancy, and numbers.

What would your character wish for if they knew it would come true?: He’d want his parents to have a good relationship with his Dad.
