Whisp
‘That was an adventure, the damn Antarctic’ smiled Simon. His dishevelled beard was all over the place, looking somewhat like a strange thin wanna-be santa clause. As he was slowing going through the books some of which he’s never read even tho’ he should intention every time he came round. ‘Why don’t you just get the audio books, it’ll make it easier for you, plus saves you space, or you can just borrow my books but then I doubt I’ll ever see my books again’ said Marcus handing Simon a mug of tea, specially brewed with 3 teaspoons of sugar and the milk heated in the microwave for 30 seconds. Simon had his quirks and he had to have his tea made a special way, the main reason for this was to keep the tea as hot as possible to allow for as many dunks of rich tea biscuits. The man loved his tea and his rich tea biscuits, so much so that at Marcus’s wedding the previous year, in Simon’s best man speech he spent 10 minutes eschewing the virtues of hot tea, getting the correct optimal temperature and how to maximise as many dunks of rich tea biscuits. That is what people remember about Marcus’s wedding, not that fact he got married but rather Simon’s 10 minute speech, which to this day is a crowd pleaser and breaks the ice when meeting new people. It’s now commonly referred to as the ‘tea speech’ and Simon never gets tired of telling it.
