when the shorter man, the one who reminds them far too much of stede to be comfortable, walks off ( no doubt to go preach to someone else, which will inevitably fall on deaf ears ), jim sighs, shoves their hands deep into the pockets of their long, coat, && side-eyes ash with an unreadable expression.
"sooooo. you && him. what's your deal? i've seen my fair share of bad pirates but i haven't met one so vehemently morally opposed to it as him. && you." they flip the dagger in their hand lazily, the tip vaguely pointing at the other captain's chest. "what's your moral stake in all this, hm?" // @whsprhouse
❝ us? known each other for ages. he got caught up in the navy and then caught up in my ship. ❞ ash laughs at her own joke, leaning against the wall and crossing their arms. watching as aziraphale wanders off a little ways but is careful to keep and eye on him just in case. after all he still wanted to see the good in everyone -- and while this crew probably wasn't actually capable of hurting anyone it would do better to keep an eye on the angel anyway. ❝ gave him the choice to join my crew or die. ❞ it's a lie that settles uncomfortably in their chest. yellow eyes watching the angel still behind sunglasses until they shift just slightly to the knife in jim's hand. smirking.
❝ eeh, no moral stake for me. though he's very into the whole right and wrong thing. more of a 'let what happens happens' kinda gal, myself. ❞ their words drawl out a bit, shrugging.
❝ he's a bad pirate because he's not a pirate, simple as that. ❞
