🥃BOSS: Icon, Dave Pickerell, sadly passed on Dia de los Muertos (November 1st, 2018) a day intended to celebrate those who passed but remain 'alive' through us and in the way we remember them. Thanks to Coco for the truncated lesson. I never got to meet this American whiskey icon, but I have enjoyed his unique expressions and can't wait to continue enjoy his new works (@blackenedamericanwhiskey). As a creator myself I admire so much of what these innovative craft distillers do. So much so, I felt the need to draw him in celebration of his legacy! Pickerell will be remembered as a pioneer, innovator and an authentic master craftsman. The whiskey landscape will surely miss his genius. So, anytime you have an American craft whiskey, raise your glasses to this man's memory, since he helped bring it to life here in the US...
