A waaaay #tbt to 2006 (or was it 2007, or 2008?? I really don’t remember, ack) when @erinacora and I made our first embroidered suit for Jon Spencer. This was on my mind recently because I had a commission making clothes this week, something I never do anymore, preferring straight embroidery/appliqué instead at this point. It’s weird to look back at this too because it was when I had no camera and a flip phone, so I was TERRIBLE about documenting my process and even the finished product. This lovely photo is from @veronicaibarra1974 ... what would we have done without her?? It would probably just be living in my memory at this point. I was still relatively new to New York when Erina and I did this, and completely thrilled/star struck... I’m still so honored to have had the opportunity to work on something like this, and to have seen my work on stage on as wonderful a performer as Jon Spencer. Btw we saw @boss_hog_bitches a few months ago, and they were amazing.
