WHY DOES THE CW KEEP KILLING PEOPLE I LOVE. Is that what being a progressive and young network looks like? Killing every other character? If you keep killing people it’s not shocking anymore. It’s lazy. Can you not think of a story where these otherwise well developed characters get to keep on living? Can you not find another way to motivate the other characters than grief and loss? Is death the new character development? This generation sees enough violence and hate and discrimination in everyday life-we don’t need to see it “represented” on tv every week to know it’s real. Tv is an escape. But when I see a character killed off every other show and every other episode what is there even to get attached to? I’m tired of this. It’s not new and creative at this point. It’s not groundbreaking. It’s borderline abusive to the people invested in your shows. It’s disrespectful. The “anyone can die” excuse is not a reason to kill. I can’t wait for the generation growing up watching this storytelling bullshit to take over your jobs and write actual good, compelling television. Until then, have fun murdering all of your characters. I won’t be investing.
