a fantasy
someday
im going to run into you again
i always imagined it would be at a pub in london
where i look up
and lock eyes with you from across the room
and everything comes back
all of the love and pain
all at once
we will realize
the mistake we made
back when we were young
when our lives had yet to start
because, you see, our souls
they’re connected
like one
they always will be
but after that moment
in time in space
we will carry on
going separate ways
never to be together
but we will always have that one pub
where the memories of us will live
where we will lock eyes
and fall in love once again
before our minds can catch up
to our hearts.
